Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is one of the most sophisticated tools a physician has to diagnose an illness or injury. Unlike X-rays and other scanning techniques, MRI can provide extremely detailed, three-dimensional pictures of the brain and other areas of the body, identifying abnormalities that otherwise might not be detected. Also, because a magnet, radio waves, and a computer are used to create images, MRI is painless and radiation-free. An Open MRI provides all the same diagnostic information as the conventional MRI, with the added benefit of an open space or "atmosphere" which enhances patient comfort.

We offer the most spacious open MRI system available - the Toshiba Opart Open MRI. Because of it, even claustrophobic patients can enjoy the many benefits of state-of-the-art imaging. While the scanner’s open design allows access to patients of almost any size, other unique features enhance patient mobility and positioning without compromising diagnostic clarity. There’s even a built-in CD/stereo system to help patients relax and have a more pleasant experience.

Our staff includes a board-certified radiologist, certified technologists and support personnel. We have the only MRI facility in the Englewood area, and are conveniently located just behind Englewood Community Hospital. At the Open MRI Centre of Englewood Community Hospital, our patients are our number one concern, and we strive to provide superior service to each of them, as well as their physicians.
